J&N Painting Contractors started with two painters, one van and a simple rule: do the work you'd want done in your own house.
J&N was founded on Long Island in 2008 by two local tradesmen, Joe and Nick, who were tired of watching out-of-town crews rush jobs and disappear. They started taking on neighborhood work in Nassau County: a hallway here, a colonial exterior there, always with the same promise of straight lines, clean sites and a phone number that actually gets answered.
Almost two decades later that same crew culture has grown into full residential and commercial teams working from Great Neck and Garden City through Huntington, Smithtown and Islip, all the way out to the Hamptons. We've painted first apartments, forever homes, medical offices, restaurants and 40-unit buildings, and nearly half of our work each year comes from repeat customers and their referrals.
Every project gets a dedicated lead painter who walks the job with you at the start and again at the end. We use premium Benjamin Moore and Sherwin-Williams systems matched to the surface, two finish coats as standard, and low- or zero-VOC options for nurseries, bedrooms and healthcare spaces. If a line isn't crisp or a spot needs another pass, we fix it before we ask for final payment.
We live here. Our trucks are on your street and our name is on the sign in your yard.
Scraping, sanding, patching and priming is where a paint job is won. We never skip it.
